Abstract

In this chapter, I consider the findings from interviews with pastors and educators of bisexual people in the UK and USA. The participants in this study represent three main organisational bodies, namely churches, LGBT satellite groups and therapeutic practices (Christian, ecumenical or secular). Understandings of bisexuality and bisexual identities are covered, as well as pastoral practices towards bisexual Christians per denomination. As with the bisexual Christians interviewed in Chapter 5, concepts of bisexuality and the Divine are considered, as well as obstacles to affirmation such as bisexual erasure.
