Abstract

Abstract The renal capsular arteries are frequently opacified, especially on selective studies, and may provide considerable information in many disease processes. Their significance in mass displacements, renal malignancy and collateral circulation has been discussed and illustrated. The appreciation of the relationship of the capsular arteries to the renal substance may be of considerable importance in the differentiation of congenital hypoplasia from acquired atrophy of the kidney.
