Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 125I seeds implantation combine with 99Tc-MDP in the treatment of tumors that has metastasized to bone from prostate cancer. Methods A total of 64 prostate cancer patients with bone metastasis admitted from April 2016 to June 2018 were selected.Patients were randomly divided into the single treatment group and the combined treatment group.In the combined treatment group, there were 30 cases, including 19 males and 11 females, aged(53.8±10.9) years old, ranging from 22 to 75 years old.Patients in the treatment group singly received 125I seeds, while patients in the combined treatment group received 99Tc-MDP on the basis of the treatment group.Blood routine examination was performed 4 weeks later in both groups, and SPECT and PSA were performed 6 months later. Results The effective rate of bone pain relief in the combined treatment group was 93.3%(28/30), which was significantly better than the single treatment group 70.6%(24/34), respectively(P<0.05). The effective rate of bone metastasis in the combined treatment group was 80.0%(24/30), which was significantly better than the single treatment group 55.9%(19/34), respectively(P<0.05). The PSA levels[(83.2±10.5)μg/L, (60.1±14.1)μg/L] of the two groups were lower than those before treatment[(96.9±14.7)μg/L, (97.1±12.6)μg/L], and the PSA levels in the combined treatment group were lower than the single treatment group after treatment, respectively(P<0.05). The KPS scores of the patients in the two groups were[(77.3±11.8) scores, (83.1±10.4) scores], which were significantly higher than before treatment[(67.6±7.5) scores, (66.9±6.6) scores], the scores of the patients in the combined treatment group were higher than the single treatment group, respectively(P<0.05). Conclusion 125I seeds implantation combine with 99Tc-MDP has a good synergistic effect on the treatment of tumors that has metastasized to bone from prostate cancer, which can alleviate bone pain, improve the therapeutic effect and improve the quality of life of patients in a short term, it has good clinical application value.
