Abstract
The rate constant for dissociative recombination of NO+ was measured in the translational temperature range from 2800 to 4500 K using a shock tube technique. The rate was found to vary as alpha (T)=4.3(+or-0.8)*10-7(T/300)-0.7(+or-0.1) cm3 s-1. This measurement supports the view that there is no strong dependence on vibrational quantum number in the dissociative recombination of NO+.
