Abstract
Sur les tambours des chamanes Sâmes sont dessinees leurs representations mythiques du monde. Ces cosmologies sont figurees autour d’un soleil central et sont structurees selon un modele sacre tripartite. Ce sont de veritables cognitive maps utilisees lors des seances de transe chamanistique. La face interne de ces tambours est elle aussi porteuse de significations esoteriques et rituelles (le chasseur astral). L’article presente une riche iconographie et se clot par une analyse comparative du « message » peint sur les tambours avec certains aspects du folklore finlandais, sa mythologie et sa litterature orale ancienne en particulier.
