Abstract
AbstractThis paper reviews the sexual life-style of a typical polygynous African man. The most common sexual life-style is heterosexual in this culture; men can marry more than one wife and in addition have several concubines. Sexual relationships during menstruation, pregnancy, and delivery are usually bounded by cultural beliefs and taboos. Many polygynous African men probably have sexual problems. These problems might be due to lack of sexual knowledge or education, or an attempt to uphold strictly the traditions. Therefore sex education is needed in all educational levels.
