Abstract

Purpose: Donor heart acceptance criteria need to be continuously revised with respect to donor age, donor heart dysfunction, donor heart structural changes, donor malignancies and donor infection in order to responsibly increase the donor pool. In this context, we review available data on donor hepatitis B (HBV) and C virus (HCV) infection.
