Abstract

Background: Acute multiple embolic infarction (AMEI) due to cancer is known as Trousseau’s syndrome (TS). We previously reported that D-dimer level (DD) ≥2.0 μg/mL at onset of AMEI and the elevation of DD under anticoagulation therapy was a useful diagnostic marker of TS.
