Abstract

Factors influencing the movement of inorganic substances on ion exchange papers when subjected to an electric field were studied. Amberlite SA 2 paper and filter paper impregnated with zirconium phosphate were used. It is shown that various cases exist where electrophoresis on ion exchange papers presents advanteges over either electrophoresis on cellulose paper or chromatography on ion exchange paper. (P.C.H.)
