Abstract

This paper considers the senior seminar course in computer science and discusses its place in preparing students for careers in computer science. It is the authors' contention that the senior seminar should attempt to prepare students for the practice of computer science in the work place. It considers the various aspects of the development and implementation of a significant user-oriented software project that serves as the cornerstone of such a course.
