Abstract

Abstract We develop the self-consistent renormalization theory of spin fluctuations for one-dimensional metals. The susceptibility in one-dimensional nearly ferromagnetic metals and the staggered susceptibility in one-dimensional nearly antiferromagnetic metals are investigated. We expand the expressions of susceptibility in both of the above cases into the low temperature limit. The properties of susceptibility in the one-dimensional metals are compared with those in two- and three- dimensional metals. We discuss the possibility whether this theory can be applied to DCNQI-Cu systems.
