Abstract
In this paper, an inherent property that second order systems, which can be stable, have the Self-Stable Regions (SSRs) is proposed. Baaed on this property, a new synthesis mcthod-the Self Stable Region approach is suggested for a class of second order nonlinear systems. The global stability of the closed-loop systems is proved. At last, the advantages of the SSR approach are analized.
