Abstract

The implementation of the Rhine Chemical Convention and the Dangerous Substances Directive 76/464/EEC has resulted in the selection of priority substances for the Black List. The two lists of selected substances have been compared in respect of their contents and their elaboration. As a result of the connected screening procedures the 129 priority pollutants of the European Community overlap those selected for the Rhine.
