Today, however, the situation is quite different, and the widespread recognition of the merits of metering has brought with it the problem of selecting the proper types and sizes of meters, together with the all-important matter of the care and attention necessary to guarantee a reasonable performance on the part of the great number of meters now faithfully serving the water works industry.
