Abstract

Rumour is an important form of social interaction. Simulation of spreading rumours based on the behaviour of people in society helps to simulate this phenomenon better. In this paper, we propose an epidemic model of rumour dissemination on social networks in which the rumour delay mechanism (exposed) and the counterattack mechanism are also added. The proposed model is called the susceptible-exposed-infected-recovered-susceptible-counterattack (SEIRS-C) model. In the proposed model, we count the change of status of nodes that is an important input to the fuzzy system, and the change of status from one state to another is done using fuzzy rules. With the help of the fuzzy system and the flexibility of its rules, the process of rumour spreading is slowed down. The simulation results of the proposed model show that compared to the two SIRS and SEIRS models, the emission rate is lower, and the pollution is eliminated earlier.
