Abstract

The Gambel's Sparrow Zonotrichia leucophyrys gambellii is a typical North American bird. Once a male had been captured at Kisarazu, Chiba Prefecture December 1936. Early morning weakened male Gambel's Sparrow was found in my garden March 9, 1964(Fig. 1). The bird recovered after that and lived for seven years.
