The seven articles in this Standards section are selected from the second International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Kaleidoscope Academic Conference, which took place in Mar del Plata, Argentina, 31 August-1 September 2009. The conference focus was on the role that standards play in "Innovations for Digital Inclusion."
