Abstract

The hard dumb-bell fluid near a hard wall and between two parallel hard walls is investigated by using the virial approach. The exact values of the first two surface virial coefficients are compared with those resulting from the RAM-type perturbational theory and from the scaled particle theory for the surface tension of hard convex molecules.
