Abstract

The thesis of this paper is that the future for research in religious education lies in the field of interdisciplinary enquiry. In order to advance this thesis, we propose to examine the case for interdisciplinary enquiry, to review the progress of a series of conferences where such enquiry has been made possible, and to argue the need for a future institutional context where this progress might find permanence.
