Emanating from the Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Beilinson Hospital and Tel Aviv Medical School, this book, according to its author, is not intended as a textbook in our specialty, but really to provide the medical profession and paramedical professions with some insight into the scope of our activities. If in so doing it will bring to the notice of our colleagues the fact that cosmetic surgery is only a small and relatively insignificant part of our work, it will have achieved its purpose. As such, it succeeds. Anyone interested in plastic surgery will cull worthwhile information from this personalized account of a specific service run by a surgeon of sound sense and varied experience.
