Abstract

To encourage greater participation of ACM's Special Interest Groups in COMPUTING SURVEYS, each SIG was recently invited to describe briefly its scope and tutorial needs. Stu Zweben's introduction is followed by submissions from SIGACT, SIGART, SIGBIO, SIGCHI, SIGIR, SIGLINK, and SIGOIS that describe their evolution, scope, and tutorial needs. Submissions from other SIGs will be included in the next few issues.
