Abstract
By means of complex function and mapping techniques, the authors have successfully evaluated the dynamic stress concentration around a circular hole and the displacement along the surface of the cylindrical canyon of arbitrary shape. In this paper the authors extend this method in the case of scattering of a plane SH-wave due to cavities with arbitrary shape in anisotropic media by adding the technique of conformal mapping.
