Abstract

Aiming at the problem of the tank truck steering prone to rollover accidents, through the analysis of the outward shift of the mass center caused by the suspension movement and the liquid sloshing in the tank truck steering condition on the roll effect rules of the tank truck body, based on the lateral load transfer rate, a safety speed calculation model of the tank truck rollover prevention was proposed; the structure parameters of a certain type of elliptic section tank truck were selected, the established calculation model and the other two safety speed calculation models through the Matlab software simulation method were comparatively analyzed, and the correctness of the model results was verified. Meanwhile, the safety and effectiveness of the established model results by the vehicle dynamics simulation software TruckSim were verified. The results show that the elliptic section tank truck rollover prevention speed can be better reflected by the established calculation model. Then a theoretical reference for the rollover prevention stability evaluation and the active safety control in the steering condition of this type of vehicle will be provided by the results.
