The Safety Monitoring on 200-Meter High CFRDs

Abstract

Compared with CFRDs in about 100-meter height, the high CFRDs in about 200-meter height are more sophisticated in dam deformation, seepage, stress and strain, structure and loads standing characteristics, etc. Thus it is very important to intensify the monitoring research on them. It was suggested to regard the safety monitoring of high CFRD as systems engineering, to pay equal attention to safety monitoring of both concrete face slab and to interconfirm their monitoring results. The overall analysis and discussion on high CFRD monitoring were presented at each aspects varying from the monitoring targets and tasks, monitoring principles and requirements, selection of monitoring items to monitoring implementation.
