Abstract

Abstract The Rotomill is a simple device capable of mixing a wide variety of rubber compositions on a continuous basis. We believe that it is the first practical device for achieving this objective. The virtues of continuous operation are better control, greater uniformity, susceptibility to automation and greater economy. While large production units have not yet been built, there appears to be no insuperable obstacles to doing so.
