Abstract
Background: The importance of tension free closure in the repair of alveolar cleft and oro antral fistula is important.Good closure will ensure success. We use a rose trellis pattern of scoring that we feel give more stretch and facilitates closure. We have used porcine mucosa to experimentally model this effect.
