THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN THE FORMATION OF YOUTH POLICY IN UKRAINE: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the role of youth in the formation of youth policy in Ukraine. The opinion is substantiated that youth is the most powerful resource of any democratic country and, accordingly, should be one of the main subjects of creating an effective and efficient youth policy. It is the young generation that is the strategic resource of the country and its intellectual potential that will shape the agenda in the future, accordingly, ensuring an effective youth policy serves as an indicator of successful state building. Taking into account the potential of the young generation, its features as a social group and the role it plays, it is necessary to take into account the fact that young people are both the object of youth policy aimed at management activities and the subject when their potential and creativity are directed to participation in life society, forming and correcting the relevant policy with the help of certain tools. It is the latter that serves as an additional resource and a new impetus in these processes. It is described in detail that the youth policy is a comprehensive approach aimed at the active participation of the youth themselves in solving problems that directly affect them. The author emphasizes that the effectiveness of actions is possible only with quality assurance of the participation of the young generation in the processes that directly affect them. The benchmark in such a case should be aimed at creating a comfortable environment for the life and development of the young generation, first of all, in their own community, which can be ensured through the development of youth infrastructure and, most importantly, the active involvement of young people in the process of decisionmaking and implementation, as well as their control implementation and evaluation of the obtained results.
