Abstract

An undergraduate medical student project on aspects of health education in childhood asthma within one general practice is described. The results of the project have implications for the care of patients within the practice. These findings are discussed in relation to the concept of involving medical students in clinical audit work. It is concluded that project work by students has a potential role in contributing to patient care in general practice.
