The role of thyroid pathology in regulation of menstrual function in female adolescent

Abstract

One of the factors affecting the formation of the reproductive system and the development of menstrual function, in particular, is the pathology of the thyroid gland. The reproductive health in the future depends on the functional status of the reproductive system of girls in childhood and adolescence. Objective. The purpose of the work is to collect, analyze and generalize information on the role of the thyroid system in the development of menstrual function in girls оf puberty age. Conclusion. The role of the thyroid system in the development of menstrual function is widely known by obstetrician-gynecologists and confirmed by numerous studies and medical practices. It was established that impaired function of the thyroid system promotes the lengthening of the time and duration of uterine bleeding responded to disorders of the menstrual function against the background of thyroid gland pathology. An in-depth analysis of this pathology will help to study the pathogenetic mechanisms of occurrence of uterine bleeding and the search for new treatment regimens.
