Abstract
The influence of tensor particle-hole correlations on the motion of isoscalar spin resonances is considered. A simple model for the particle-hole interaction in the spin channels is used in a random-phase description of 1 + states in 208Pb. We discuss changes in the response to inelastic proton scattering for the lowest isoscalar 1 + state.
