The allergic population and the neurotic population are so numerous that they must overlap. Therefore, if for no other reason, these disorders exist together in many people." In private practice and in clinics we find these statements to be true. We are called upon to treat neurotic allergics and allergic neurotics. In many cases there is clear evidence of more than just "overlapping." There is evidence of direct influence of psychogenic factors on the allergic state itself.
