Abstract

The Romanian state has established a local institution at the level of each county, to supervise the legality closer to the citizen with the role of permanently and authentically watching over the correct application of the law by the local public administration authorities in most of the specific fields of activity. In this article we propose to address the most important attributions of the prefect with the highlighting of their related role in the context of local public administration, as it results from the applicable legislative framework.
