Abstract

Inflammatory diseases of the middle ear often consistently affect the mucous membrane of all its parts: the auditory tube, the tympanic membrane, and the mastoid cells. Acute otitis media is the most common complication of acute respiratory infections. According to statistics, the frequency of acute otitis media ranges from 25 to 30 % of the total number of ear diseases, which indicates its fairly wide prevalence. Inflammation of the middle ear often leads to a disorder in the auditory function, and in order to prevent hearing loss, it is necessary to start following the doctor's prescriptions in a timely manner.
