Abstract
This case considers the nature of Beddoe applications, how they compare with other categories of trustee applications for directions, and the role of the court in such applications. It also raises some practical points in relation to the conduct of litigation by trustees, which trustees would be well advised to have in mind when using trust funds to fund litigation.
