Abstract

This study aimed to try to clarify the role of the agricultural sector in achieving sustainable development, by studying the case of Saida Province (Algeria), and to clarify the developmental characteristics of the state by classifying its municipalities consisting of (16) municipalities, using the method of exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and Depending on (18) variables during the year 2018.
 The study concluded that Saida Province is primarily an agricultural region, as its municipalities were divided into three activities: agricultural, pastoral and urban, and hence the necessity of focusing this state in its local development policy on the agricultural sector. This is due to the great role it plays in driving economic development and achieving sustainable development.
