Abstract
Subject. This article discusses the importance of federal retailers and their impact on the spatial development of the Russian Far East in terms of ensuring territorial and economic accessibility of goods to the population. Objectives. The article aims to conduct a comprehensive study of the retail market of the Far Eastern Federal District and identify vectors of its development taking into account the federal retailers' entry into the retail market . Methods. For the study, I used the methods of statistical analysis and expert assessment. Results. The article identifies strategic areas for the development of retail trade in the context of digitalization, the growth of the e-commerce share, and the Turn to the East policy. Conclusions. The results of the study can be used when developing a strategy for the socio-economic and spatial development of the Far Eastern Federal District.
