Abstract

Chapter 10 discusses the role of religion, spirituality, and faith-based community in coping with acts of terrorism. It explores critical incident stress management (CISM) as a trauma care standard, and the role of religion and spirituality in coping with trauma, and also presents recommendations and next steps for emergency health professionals, the individual, for the faith-based community, and research.
