Abstract
The researcher used this study to identify the role of recreational education in enhancing intellectual security among secondary school students in Dakahlia Governorate. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The role of recreational education in enhancing intellectual security was applied by researcher. The study was applied to a sample of (1240) of secondary stage students in Dakahlia Governorate. The most important results were the presence of awareness of the concept of intellectual security as well as their understanding of its different dimensions. The recreational education through (officials, goals, practices) plays a key role in enhancing intellectual security. There are statistically significant differences in the intellectual security concept and its dimensions which attribute to the variables (gender, place of residence, educational year) in favor of males and students residing in the urban areas for students of the third year.

Importance of the research and the need for it: The importance of research is highlighted in the following points: 1- The persons who care about leisure time can benefit from this research in formulating mechanisms for the development of recreational activities school and their linkage to the reality of life and circumstances as well as problems and issues of contemporary society. 2- An assistant instrument in planning the dissemination of educational directions and instructions which contribute to the development of intellectual awareness among students and ensure the rooting of behavioral and national trends of society. 3- Enriching the Arabic library and literature related to the studies of recreational education and intellectual security for students in various educational stages
Summary
Because educational institutions aim at helping students to grow from the different psychological, social and physical aspects, as well as to preserve their minds and immunize them against intellectual invasion and its deviant tendencies through various learning and practice methods, including recreational education as one of the main pillars in building concepts, values and attitudes for students as well as working on raising their awareness, educating them and correcting the wrong trends and adjusting their course in order to keep them away from the circle of deviation from the system of society and values, customs and principles and maintain the identity of the community and nationality, highlighting the importance of recreational education through its various fields and multiple practices which aims to prepare students and develop them in various aspects of their personal lives, which led the researcher to study the role of recreational education in enhancing intellectual security among secondary school students in Dakahlia governorate.
