Abstract
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. About 70% of patients with advanced breast cancer willdevelop bone metastasis. Breast cancer bone metastasis is an important factor whichresultsin the poor prognosis. At present, there are many signaling pathways dicussed, among which the receptor acti-vator of nuclear factor-κβ/receptor activator of nuclear factor-κβligand/osteoprotegerin(RANK/RANKL/OPG)signaling pathway is crucial in the mechanism of breast cancer bone metastasis. This article aims to review the role of RANK/RANKL/OPG signaling pathway in the mechanism of breast cancer bone metastasis. Key words: Breast cancer; Bone metastasis; Receptoracti-vator of nuclear factor-κβ / receptor activator of nuclear factor-κβ ligand/osteoprotegerin
