Abstract

This article presented the clinical-neurological and immunological examination results of 260 children with HIV-encephalopathy (HIVE) of various severity. All children included in the study studied the activity of HIV replication in mononuclear and other indicators that are candidates for the role of a predictive marker of the course of HIVE. Furthermore, the relationship between these indicators and the severity of HIVE was also studied. In addition, the study evaluated the activity of Il-6, IL-10, TNF-α, C-reactive protein, C3, C4 complement components and the predictor significance of various parameters of systemic inflammation in the aspect of the development of symptomatic HIVE.
