Abstract

OBJECTIVE 1: To investigate the prevalence chronic pain (defined by the National Institutes of Health as pain lasting greater than 3 to 6 months) among patients referred to physical therapy (PT) in a large urban HIV clinic. OBJECTIVE 2: To determine the effect of PT on self-reported pain scores of people seen by PT in OBJECTIVE 1 over a 4-month period of time.
