Abstract
Programmed cell death 1 (PD-1) is an inhibitory co-stimulatory molecule belonging to the CD28family. It plays an important role in the maintenance of immune tolerance when it binds to its ligands. Recentresearches showed that PD-1 pathway played an essential role in the development of chronic viral infection, au-toimmune diseases and tumor immunity.
