Abstract
Poly-ADP-ribosomal polymerase 1 (PARP1) is the key enzyme for DNA damage repair. Melanoma is the most aggressive skin malignancy, however, there is no effective treatments for advanced melanoma. Recent literatures have shown that PARP1 not only is related to the development of melanoma, plays an important role in the treatment of melanoma through multiple mechanisms, either alone or combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy. This article reviews the role of PARP1 in the development and treatment of melanoma, thus providing help for the study on mechanism and treatment of melanoma. Key words: PARP1; Melanoma; Development; Treatment
