Abstract
Most pediatric flatfeet require no treatment. Some may benefit from early, corrective orthotic management. Certain symptomatic, dysfunctional flatfeet require surgical correction. Osteotomy provides correction without losing subtalar function. Consideration of etiology and biomechanical examination are keys to an appropriate treatment plan.
