Abstract
The role of the interaction of gas molecules with a surface on the diffusiophoretic force and velocity of a spherical aerosol particle is studied under the conditions of a free molecular regime. Expressions of these physical quantities are obtained for the arbitrary scattering kernels of different species of molecules. Calculations of the force and velocity of diffusiophoresis are carried out with the use of different scattering kernel models.
