Abstract

Introduction: Medical Emergency Teams (METs) aim to provide a standardised approach to identifying and responding to acutely unwell patients outside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Frequently, the role of the MET involves end of life care planning when attending MET/Code Blue calls. Goals of Care (GOC) forms were introduced to address the mismatch between available resources and patients’ needs and wishes for end-of-life care, based on co-morbidities, age, and quality of life.
