Abstract
This research aims to identify the role of media education in qualifying students for the media job market. And investigating the role of media education in developing media talents among media students in universities and government institutes in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq. For its type of descriptive study, the research relied on a sample survey method for the community of graduates of media departments in universities and government institutes. The sample was drawn from the original research community in a non-random, intentional manner. The total number of respondents included (134) media graduates from all governorates of the region. Among the most important findings of the research: The results showed a positive role for media education in qualifying students for the media work market in universities, technical and governmental academic institutes in the Kurdistan Region - Iraq, and a somewhat negative role, related to the lack of availability of media departments with the necessary equipment and applied means for producing media work.
