Abstract

We analyze the stability of the magnetic structures of RCu compounds (R = Ce, Pr and Nd), which have been determined by means of neutron diffraction. While CeCu exhibits a simple antiferromagnetic structure with a single propagation vector, NdCu has a complex magnetic behaviour with two propagation vectors. In contrast, no long range magnetic order has been observed in PrCu down to 2 K.
