Abstract

The rate controlling role of gas/solid diffusive transport and of intraporous diffusion in SCR-DeNO x monolith (honeycomb and plate-type) catalysts is demonstrated and discussed in view of opportunities for catalyst optimization and process development. On the contrary, axial diffusion and pressure drop are shown to be negligible phenomena in typical SCR monolith reactors.
