Abstract

This paper presents a literature review of roles played by information and innovative technologies for helping children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disease (ASD). ASD is a pervasive developmental disorder having issues 1with social communication, interests, coordination, attention, and health. People with autism are very sensitive and cannot afford a minor change in their surrounding environment. They do not know how to react according to the situation. The information technology is very helpful to resolve their issues. The best solution for autistic children is to educate them. The education in younger age is considered as more helpful for autistic people. The method of education for autistic people through computers is very promising nowadays with advanced information and communication technologies. Computers represent a considerable and valuable part in educational techniques of autism. Many software's can be used to help children with autism. A detailed comparison of different games and applications which are helpful for kids with autism is described. Information and Computer Technologies are very helpful to predict facial expression, speaking and writing skills. Virtual Reality based frameworks are very helpful to estimate a different kind of fears faced by autistic people.
